7th IKGA Global Championships - Results

The 7th IKGA Global Championships in Richmond, BC have come to an end. The tournament overall was a great success, with 23 countries participating with over 530 competitors. Members of the IKGA family, both old and new forged and strengthened our bonds through our love of Gojukai Karatedo.

Keeping a close eye on the competition was Saiko Shihan Goshi Yamaguchi, President of IKGA and JKGA, along with his family, together with IKGA Vice-Presidents Peter Brandon Hanshi and Gonzalo Ramirez Ortiz Kyoshi. IKGA members from across the globe did their best on the competition mats in high level competition.

The host country, IKGA Canada, put on a fantastic, well organized tournament. Keeping a strict schedule meant that all the athletes were able to compete at their best. Saiko Shihan Yamaguchi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for all the hard work put into the tournament by the organizing committee, volunteers and medical staff, as well as all the behind the scenes people too numerous to count, but who were all instrumental to making this a successful event.
